  • Rebekah’s goal in counseling is to provide a safe, accepting space in which people feel comfortable being themselves and are supported as they work through their struggles and past traumas. Rebekah (Beka) believes that understanding how our brains and bodies respond to stress and trauma helps us make sense of behavior and thought patterns and gives us more control to develop new patterns and better emotional regulation. For this reason, Beka utilizes body-based models, such as polyvagal theory, in addition to EMDR, ego-state methods, and a person-centered approach when working with clients. She also incorporates faith practices when requested by clients. Beka is a certified administrator of the Safe and Sound Protocol.
